Stage One: Complete the online form
In order to apply for either the 2012 programme (or to make an open selection), please use the following form.
Please note the following!
- The form is three pages long, and each page will time out after a few minutes. If the session times out before you move to the next page, your work will not be saved, and you will have to begin again (our system is not very high-tech, apologies...)
- Most of the form will be very quick to complete, but the following three questions will require longer and more detailed answers, and your responses to the first two of these in particular will be used by us to determine your suitability and motivations for the course. We strongly suggest that you prepare your answers to the following three questions in advance of completing the form so as to avoid losing your work.
1. What interests you about the RAMIRI programme?
2. How would you like to benefit from such a programme?
3. Where do you see your career in five or ten years?

Stage 2: Sending Your CV
You will also need to send your CV separately to ramiri2[at]elettra.trieste.it. Please note the following:
- It should be no more than 3 pages long
- In order to make it easier for us to file and retrieve the applications, the title of your email should follow the format: 'RAMIRI 2 application: [your name]'.
- It should be in one of the following file formats: .pdf, .rtf, .doc, .docx
Your CV should include the following:
- Your name
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- A summary of your educational achievements, beginning with your most recent achievements. Do not forget to include years of study/graduation, subjects and institution of study.
- A summary of your work experience (relevant to this application). Do not forget to include dates, job titles and organisation name. It will be helpful if you add a brief commentary where necessary to help us understand the work that you were doing. If you have changed careers, or taken a long career break of any kind, it will be helpful to add a note or two of commentary.
